ARE YOUR READY FOR THE GREEN CHALLENGE?

We are challenging all of the students to bring a zero waste lunch to school.

What is a Zero Waste Lunch? Simply a lunch that generates no trash. This means packing food in reusable containers instead of disposable packaging. Our Lincoln Green Team gave great examples of no-waste lunches at Flag Deck – using Tupperware instead of baggies, a lunch box instead of a brown bag, a re-usable bottle instead of a box drink or can, cloth napkins, stainless steel forks and spoons instead of plastic.
For more ideas on how to produce a Zero Waste Lunch go to www.wastefreelunches.org  .

The Lincoln Green Team will be on the look-out every Wednesday for students (and teachers!) who bring a zero waste lunch to school. Participating students will have their names entered in a drawing to win a Lincoln Stainless Steel water bottle – we will be giving one away at every flag deck!
What will your carbon footprint be?
It takes some thought and effort, but let’s all try to make NO WASTE LUNCHES a big success!!!!
